Safety

Safety in every process

Safety is a primary strategic priority, and is a part of how we think, talk, and work — every day, every task, in every role.

How do we deliver it?

Awareness

Information screens, safety focus campaign, audience-oriented communication, supervision.

Monitoring

Reduced SPIs, improved risk-assessment tool, higher level of compliance to operational procedures.

Safety Investigations

Reduced SPIs, better monitoring, targeted training, accurate and effective corrective actions.

Safety initatives

Occupational health and safety certification ISO45001

ISO 45001 certification is about protecting people and operations in a high-risk airside environment. We earned it by building a disciplined, evidence-based safety system.

Robust procedures
Mapping hazards at every gate and stand, and setting task-specific procedures for pushback, towing, and baggage loading
Constant training and improvement
Delivering recurrent ramp training and live emergency drills, tightening GSE maintenance and airside driver qualifications.
Compliance and operations
Embedding a just-culture near-miss process with root-cause fixes, auditing contractors, and maintaining a live legal-compliance register.

Award-winning safety initiatives in our stations

We prioritize a safe work environment built on safe equipment, clear procedures, actionable instructions, and close supervisor support.

Our effort is structured by our Safety Management and Quality Management Manuals, and measured through a rigorous reporting system.

Safety initiatives
In 2024 a network-wide initiative reduced load-control errors via live training for loading supervisors.
Recognition
TOS’s station manager won “Game Changer” at the Avia Solution Group Awards, BDU’s manager earned “Personality of the Year” at the ASA Excellence Awards, and KRS received a Norwegian Airlines safety award in February 2024.
